CUPPING

CUPPING: Services

WHAT IS CUPPING?

Cupping therapy is a type of deep tissue massage technique that has many benefits to offer. The cups are used to create suction to the muscle tissue which helps loosen up any damaged or scarred tissue. This allows blood to flow properly and to improve lymphatic flow as well. The increased blood flow to the muscles promotes healing and can help reduce pain.  It also helps reduce inflammation and improves elasticity of the muscles. This technique can enhance a therapeutic massage or can also be used in a slightly different manner to promote more of a relaxing experience.

WHAT SHOULD I KNOW?

After a cupping treatment, there may be large, dark purple marks left behind on the skin. Not to be confused with bruising, these marks that are often left behind is a sign that stagnant blood and other toxins have been drawn to the surface of the skin which enables the body to process and release them.
